Excelsior Home Inspection Inspection Co. Inc has been in business for 20 years now.
Peter H. Schaming is the president and owner of Excelsior Home Inspection Co. Inc..
Inspection are performed on residential homes, townhouses, condos, and commercial buildings. The capital district and surrounding areas are somewhat unique as many buildings are well over 100 years, and in some areas in the country most of the building are much newer. Inspections are performed on structures ranging from old farm houses, row houses in urban areas, to surban and rural structures.
Masonry structures, post and beam structures, log cabins, and traditional wood frame buildings all are inspected according to NYS and ASHI standards.
The inspection should be attended as important information is discussed at the time of the inspection. You learn not just the condition of the components, but the location off, and methods to shut off the water and electrical supply, gas valves, furnace switches and much more. It's a learning experience that shouldn't be missed.
Excelsior has grown with the real estate sales industry. While many years ago it was uncommon to have a home inspection performed, its quite common, if not required, now.
Excelsior receives a lot of word of mouth advertising because our services are exceptional. Old fashioned values mixed with modern communication.
Inspections are carefully scheduled to insure adequate time is spent at the building to be inspected. Excelsior has many satisified clients to show that commitment continues to this day.
A custom report is generated for the building inspected. That type of report can not be delivered on site. It takes time to generate a custom report. The report is generally emailed out the foillowing day.
The inspection and report includes to

Other inspections may include a Wood destroying Organism Inspection, a Water Well Flow Test, Samples sent to a lab for water testing, Radon testing, and various types of lead testing. Septic system evaluations vary and information should be obtained as to what type of testing may be performed.
